Common questions

Who can play, and where is Age sharing?

Romo Remi is intended for players 9 and older. Apple calculates the App Store rating separately, and that rating may be higher. In the app, open Settings → Help & safety → Age sharing → Check age with Apple. Supported devices use Apple’s Declared Age Range service with thresholds at 9, 13 and 18. Apple controls whether a system sharing prompt appears. Known under-9 or restricted results do not unlock full play; an eligible device-only fallback may be available when sharing cannot be completed.

Public ads and reward offers are disabled in version 2.0. Any future enabled ads require an Apple-confirmed adult and applicable consent; children, teens and unknown age ranges receive no ads.

How do I play online?

In version 2.0, use Online to connect through Apple Game Center, or Friends to invite people to your table. Allow Game Center access when requested and keep everyone on the same app release. Nearby tables remain available through a QR code or room code on the same Wi-Fi network.

I can’t join a table
  1. Update everyone to the same app release.
  2. Connect all devices to the same main Wi-Fi network. Guest networks or device isolation can prevent a connection.
  3. On each device, open Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network and allow Romo Remi.
  4. Keep the host and guest apps open. Try entering the room code if QR scanning is unavailable.

No account is needed. Camera permission is optional when joining with a room code.

How do I show the board on my TV?

Connect your iPhone or iPad and an AirPlay-compatible TV to the same network. On the device providing the display, open Control Center → Screen Mirroring and select your TV.

The shared display shows the public table. Keep your private rack on your device. A TV and a separate TV app are not required to play.

The host stepped away or the game paused

Return to Romo Remi on the host’s device and let the players reconnect. If your version shows a paused game, the host can tap Resume game. Keep everyone on the same app release.

iOS can interrupt AirPlay while an app is away. Reconnect Screen Mirroring if the TV display stops.

How do I share a win?

On versions with Share win, open the round or match results, tap Share win, review the image, and choose where to share it. It can include player names, scores and public formations. Check the preview before sharing.

Can I play on my own?

Yes. Choose Play Solo to practice against computer opponents. You can choose the number of opponents, difficulty and game length. A TV or second device is not needed.
